Again a great film from the master of realistic cinema Madhur Bhandarkar. An innocent guy lands up in Jail for Drug case, and finds no escape from the deteriorating life of Jail. The film's narration is done excellently by Manoj Bajpayee, who has seen many people coming in jail and been changed into much more worse than what they were. However, He see's Neil's (victims) eye and finds him innocent. After a long struggle of pain, hardship, strange people, fights, loneliness, Neil tries to build a relationship with the Jail rather the Jail binds people into a relation. Mughda Godse plays a completely de-glamorous role of an air hostess and his girlfriend, who is all courageously making attempts with the law and court to save him.But until the end all attempts are futile, when the entry of new lawyer 'Atul Kulkarni' changes the course of the film where the audience feels relieved. Since in the whole film Neil is been tortured with third degree, Stripped Naked, and much more violent scenes. The film could have been much more realistic and a trend setting one if the censor board hadn't deleted it's six scenes.
This film gives you an insight about the real happenings of a Jail, and law procedures.
