The Quintessential Woman........

On this Women's day, I'm inspired once again to revisit my Blog, and reinvent the meaning of Love and Life. It's a day to celebrate womanhood. Ofcourse, womanhood is a social construct. But within the individual parameters, one can celebrate the freedom of being themselves. To me the notion of woman has always been associated with Sacrifice. One, who has from the beginning, always let things go for the happiness of others. A mother who might eat two breads less so that the her child can have it. A wife who would sell her priciest treasure to gift her husband. A sister who would help her brother in everything, despite of the brother being arrogant. A girlfriend who would sacrifice time with her friends, so that she gives more time to her boyfriend. Woman is all about Giving, just like the River because she is convinced of herself and she knows even though she quenches the thirst of every traveller, she still remains the same. Ever flowing and Ever Glowing. Woman knows she is filled with abundant grace, therefore she never hesitates about losing herself while trying to make everyone happy around. This is what makes her stronger than everyone else, because she is serene, stable and sure about her doings. Womanhood doesn't come from merely being born as a girl, its a growing and maturing process which becomes better with time, just like wine. The biological ability to reproduce, does not necessarily make one mother. In the same way, just by being a female one necessarily can't claim to be a woman. Womanhood is power, its freedom of choice, its love for humanity and her everyday life is synonymously filled with pinch of loving moments. Woman may be giving, but that doesn't mean she is fragile and can be taken for granted. Woman is respected with the awareness 'For what she is and what is capable of doing?' At the same time, its not indeed possible to understand the mystery of Woman. She can be extremely serene and at the other moment can be vivid and at times even enigmatic. To me , Woman is an Enigma, and this day is to celebrate the enigmatic journey so far.
